Mass Voters for Animals Endorses Marc!

We are thrilled to announce that Marc has received the endorsement of Mass Voters for Animals who stated that they “enthusiastically endorse” Marc’s candidacy for re-election to the Cambridge City Council because they feel that he “stands out as a person who truly cares about animal welfare and would continue to be a strong advocate for the prevention of cruelty.”

As a long-time animal rights activist, Marc was the author of an ordinance banning the sale of animals in Cambridge pet stores due to horrifically inhumane breeding and distribution practices -- the most progressive animal rights policy in the country. He was also instrumental in opening several dog parks in Cambridge, including parks in Cambridgeport, North Cambridge, and East Cambridge because all dogs deserve a place to run and play off the confines of a leash.

Over the course of the summer, you’ll see Marc and his rescue dog, Bunker, at the city’s dog parks discussing animal issues and how we can make Cambridge a more dog-friendly city. For details, check our event page!
