Launching Campaign 2023!

Dear Friends,

I am excited to announce that I am launching my campaign for re-election to the Cambridge City Council.

Fortune Magazine recently listed Cambridge as the #1 best city in the country to raise a family. Our city is renowned for its vibrant, diverse, walkable community, fabulous culture and strong economy. Despite these advantages, not everyone here is thriving. Property prices continue to soar, homelessness has increased, some of our neighbors struggle to put food on their table, and far too many of our students don't realize their full potential in our schools. That’s why I’m running for another term on the Cambridge City Council. Whether it’s been my unwavering commitment to affordable housing, my work to support our unhoused population, or partnering with the Mayor and Vice-Mayor to address poverty or working to expand universal pre-K and after school programming, my focus is always on how to make Cambridge the socially and economically just community we want it to be.

When I look at my daughter's soccer team or my son's friends in the City Orchestra, I am so moved by the range of young people. There are children of all races, religions and classes, playing together, laughing together, and working together toward a common goal. It represents the true character of our city. I’m running for re-election to do everything I can to preserve that diversity. To ensure that all people can live in our city, and enjoy all Cambridge has to offer. This won’t happen by accident. It will take strong leaders who aren’t afraid to call for change and who are willing to push back against the status quo. I have been that leader and with your help, I will return to the Council to continue to work toward our shared goals.

We won't always agree on every issue, of course, but I promise you that you won't find anyone who cares more or is more passionate about working hard for our city. I look forward to earning your support!
